The Hospitals require high level of Electrical/Electronic/fire Safety due to the environment it functions and sensitive of the equipment and safety of the people.
As per IEEE 142-1991 ; ‘Recommended Practice for Grounding of Industrial and Commercial Systems" of which clause 3.2.7.13 ‘is for Hospitals.
Fire Hazard
Mixtures of air and certain anesthetics and the use of oxygen and oxygen-enriched atmosphere trigger fire, explosion, and electrical hazard.
Shock
Grounding of non-current carrying metal enclosures generally required for electrical apparatus used in operating rooms and intensive care units, such as Electrocardiographs, Oscilloscopes, Pacemakers, Radios, Television sets, Vapor Generators and Electrical Cauterizing equipment, increases the shock hazard to patients and personnel in these areas, due to leakage currents over the ground conductors.
Transient leakage currents of as little as 20 µA over circuits for monitoring various physiological functions of a patient in an intensive care unit could be fatal where the probes are applied internally.
Caution
Conducting floors, use of metal or conductive material for all furnishings in direct contact with the Floor, conductive shoes for personnel.
Prohibition of silk, wool and synthetic garments in these areas unless used as hosiery or undergarments that are entirely in contact with the skin;
Maintenance of relative humidity at not less than 50%; and grounding of all exposed non-carrying metal parts of electrical equipments such as portable lamps, appliances, fixtures, cabinets, and cases as required by ANSI/NFPA 70-1990(The NEC) (9)(Article 517).
Caution:
- Do not drop the Earthing Electrode.
- Do not subject it to any kind of driving force.
- Do not hammer it while installing the Electrode.
- Do not use it other than the purpose of Earthing.
- Remove the thin plastic cover before installing the electrode.
- Always, place the Electrode keeping the connecting terminal on top.
- Apply conductive jelly over the exposed part (Terminal) of the Electrodes to safe guard it against the corrosion.
Features:
- Economic and reading to use Earthing Technology for Domestic, Industrial LT & HT Users
- Very Simple Fit & Forget Installation
- Corrosion, Weather, Water resistant, Highly Durable, Life Saving & Cost Effective Solution for the lifetime.
- Proper earthing ensures longer life for all electrical & electronic equipments.
- Fluctuation of OHMIC value is least (Within Safe Limits)
